New GAL volunteer leads from Be My Neighbor!
June 08, 2017
Our folks from the 4th Circuit Guardian ad Litem program were present at the Be My Neighbor! event, held at WJCT on Saturday, June 3. The event was held to help instill a sense of volunteerism and good deeds within the children of our Jacksonville community.
From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Guardian ad Litem hosted a booth to help recruit new volunteer child advocates. Many parents and grandparents stopped by our booth to learn more about GAL and our programs. More than 25 attendees showed interest in becoming a GAL child advocate! We are so grateful to our volunteers and are proud to be that much closer to giving every child in Duval, Clay and Nassau counties a voice in our court system.
If you, or anyone you know, is interested in learning more about becoming a GAL volunteer, please contact us. We provide all training free of cost.
The GAL program would like to thank WJCT for allowing us to participate in this event.
