NO PLACE LIKE HOME SUPPORTS CHILDREN IN NEED

On a daily average, there are roughly 1,200 children assigned to the Guardian ad Litem Office in our community. That’s 1,200 children removed from their home for abuse, neglect and abandonment. It is imperative that 100% of these children get the help that they deserve. Your support of No Place Like Home will allow GALF to continue to support these youth every step of the way.

GALF programming and funds are used to benefit children directly through our programming and support initiatives.

GUARDIAN AD LITEM VOLUNTEERS

GALF provides the necessary recruitment, retention and awareness for Guardian ad Litem Volunteers. This allows the volunteers who are court appointed to a child in need to perform their duties on behalf of the child. The role of a Guardian ad Litem Volunteer is vital to optimal outcomes for children in the foster care and dependency system.

NORMALCY PROGRAMMING

GALF works to provide children in the foster care and dependency system with the necessities they need so that they can assimilate and thrive. These necessities might include simple, basic items that are “normally” afforded to children and families but are harder to come by once in the system. Learn more here.

THE EMPOWERMENT SCHOLARSHIP

GALF provides additional support to youth seeking to rise above their circumstances by furthering their post-secondary education. These individuals have been involved in the foster care system and face unique challenges and need the support of our community as they transition into adulthood. Learn more here.
